Road Safety
All LTP staff have extensive experience of cluster and route studies based on casualty data supplied through the STATS 19 process. Our work has involved all aspects of Local Safety Studies, including identification of potential sites, analysis of the data to isolate common factors and possible remedial measures, conflict studies and site surveys, indicative costing of proposed measures, preparing preliminary designs and consultation materials and managing the consultation process and producing any Traffic Regulation Orders required.
We carry out numerous Safety Audits on a variety of traffic management, safety and maintenance schemes and four of our staff are qualified to comply with HD 19/03. This exposure to both road safety engineering and Safety Audit work over a long period of time has resulted in us being particularly adept at identifying potential hazardous features and in devising suitable measures to reduce risk associated with different highway layouts and roadside features.
