Nigel joined Local Transport Projects in May 2016 as a Technical Director to support both delivery and business development. He is a senior transportation professional specialising in local transport improvement schemes that support local connectivity, economic growth, social inclusion and environmental betterment. His technical experience encompasses the full spectrum of local transport measures including active travel, traffic signals, bus priority, Bus Rapid Transit, ITS, traffic regulation and parking. Nigel’s 35+ years successful delivery to Local Authorities throughout the UK and internationally provides him with comprehensive skills across the whole project lifecycle from strategy development through assessment, appraisal and business case to preliminary/detailed design and construction.

Born and brought up in Driffield, East Yorkshire, after 50 years Nigel took the plunge to migrate south to Beverley. Despite having a fuller figure Nigel is an enthusiastic athlete and regular turns out for both Beverley Athletics Club and LTP’s own running team “The Flemingate Flyers” at various events over the year.
