Originally from Chesterfield, Derbyshire, Jack moved to East Yorkshire in 2010 to go to Hull University. At University Jack studied Geography, where he specialised in historical and transport geography. The work he did involving transport included looking at public transport networks in cities and how more sustainable travel can be encouraged. Throughout his time at University he also volunteered with the Royal Geographical Society (RGS) as a ‘Geography Ambassador’, which involved working in schools to encourage students to take up geography/talking about careers that geography can lead them to.
Jack came to LTP in July 2013 as a 3 month Intern, and in October 2013 became a full time member of the team. He has been heavily involved in a number of projects during his time at LTP including; Get Moving Goole and Aire and Calder cycling/walking feasibility study. Jack was thrown in at the deep end when he started at LTP and since then he has gone on to develop his knowledge and skills further in all areas of transport and civil engineering.
Outside of work he enjoys travelling and visiting new places, attending live music concerts/festivals and he even enjoys cooking!
