LTP provided transport planning support and safety auditing for this East Midlands housing scheme.

The Project

Extension of an existing residential cul-de-sac to accommodate a new development of 27 houses for Stancliffe Homes in Wingerworth, Derbyshire.

Our Role

LTP prepared a Transport Assessment (TA) to support the planning application, including an appraisal of extending the cul-de-sac to serve the development. Following construction, LTP’s independent auditors undertook a Stage 3 Road Safety Audit (RSA3) of the new highway layout.

The Outcome

There was no objection from Derbyshire County Council Highways, which helped ensure there was no highways reason for refusal. The scheme was subsequently allowed on appeal and is now home to 27 households.
